LIMP BIZKIT

Rating: N

LIMP BIZKIT New Old Songs (Interscope) Rating: N

Without an album of new material ready to go, Limp Bizkit resourcefully try cashing in during the Christmas rush by tossing off a collection of remixes of their best-known songs: Nookie, My Way, Rollin’, etc, by celebrity producers like P. Diddy, Butch Vig, DJ Premier, Timbaland and the Neptunes — although whatever the label was paying wasn’t enough to inspire creative cut-ups. The fact that the album’s most interesting moment is a Fred Durst co-produced gag interpolation of David Bowie’s Fame and George Michael’s Faith should at least give Primo pause to consider whether the embarrassment was worth the dough.
