While Eminem added depth to his music with an intricate trinity of alter-egos, Master P interprets the duality of the human soul at the grade-one level: he has Good Side and Bad Side. What’s worse, the “concept” of Good Side/Bad Side is not at all addressed in the music. Thuggin’, murderin’, thuggin’, spendin’ money and thuggin’ are, however. This album is chockful of ignorant lyrics and nauseating beats that sound like they were all made in 15 minutes. But it’s Master P, so you knew that already. Oh, and, yes, he still does that “unnnnnnghh!” cry he popularized. This album is dedicated to rapper C-Murder, Master P’s brother, who was sentenced to life in a Louisiana prison in October for shooting a 16-year-old dead in 02.
