Over the course of the 17 tracks on Tical 0: The Prequel, Wu-Tang microphone assassin Method Man manages to cram in collabos with 14 different artists – including Busta Rhymes, Missy Elliott, Snoop Dogg, Ludacris, Kardinal Offishall, Saukrates and various Clan cohorts – with beats provided by 16 different producers. The result sounds less like a coherent album than a mediocre DJ mix disc, with Method Man’s playa boasts often taking a backseat to the contributions of his celebrity guests. Grab a 12-inch copy of the Busta-boosted club banger What’s Happenin’ instead and cut your losses.
