Moistboyz, the geek-thug rock side project of Ween’s Mickey Melchiondo (Deaner) and False Front’s Guy Heller, take a turn for the nasty on their raging third venture, III. Mickey and Dickie Moist turn up the guitars and adopt a Confederacy of Scum-inspired Southern dullard wallop (which sounds suspiciously like the handiwork of Chris Goss), while the growling is equal parts Jim Dandy and Jeff Clayton. This is precisely the sort of tough-rocking juvenile belligerence to which Andrew W.K. aspires, only he’s not quite smart enough to get this stoopid.
