Motley Crue

Rating: NNNN

cover

Don’t be confused by this record’s cover photo, which features the reunited Crue as they appear today, leading me to believe that this was an album of the new band playing re-recorded hits now. That’s scary enough to make anyone cringe. Instead, this is a must-have collection for anyone who doesn’t already own three copies of most of these tracks. Disc one covers all the slick 80s glam you really need (except for Home Sweet Home, which appears on disc two in 91 remix form and belongs on disc one). Disc two has that other unnecessary stuff from the later years, including a rave mix of Afraid, plus three new tracks, including a cover of Street Fighting Man. Disc one fucking rocks. Disc two is like that awful lipstick that comes as a free bonus in a colour no one can wear.

Motley Crue rock the ACC Wednesday (February 23).
