So much has happened to Obie Trice, the rapper Eminem hilariously once threatened to sic on Moby, since his first album, Cheers, came out in 03: last year he got shot while behind the wheel and drove himself to the hospital; his best friend, Proof, was killed a couple of months later; and he got much more famous. Only the latter gets discussed here at any length -- boringly -- and only in the form of material about what delicacies he's now eating and where. But it seems like there's nothing as engaging as Trice's real life -- he's mostly intent on 'keepin' it 'hood,' making unlikely death threats and getting some solid punchlines out. In other words, the Second Round isn't much different from the first. It really doesn't help that Eminem produced most of this.
