Omarion

Some weeks ago I almost got trampled to death by a stampede of screaming 14-year-old girls flying across Queen into the MuchMusic parking lot – good luck to any people, trucks or streetcars in their way. B2K’s solo golden child, Omarion, had just been spotted hopping out of a Navigator. Hot as he is right now, his debut, O (the title track tells you this is what you’ll be screaming shortly after you come on over to his place), while rife with panting, moaning and obvious innuendo, and despite Darkchild and Neptune’s beats, weirdly has a late-90s production vibe that’d be better suited to a misguided Whitney Houston comeback. And the Speakerboxxx-emulation attempt Never Gonna Let You Go (She’s A Keepa), featuring Big Boi, is an awful, funky-ass mess.
