Michael Angelakos recorded most of this six-song EP as a bedroom electro love letter to his girlfriend last year. After he played the falsetto- and synth-heavy tracks for friends, record labels became interested, and a five-piece band came together.
The only song not on the original demo is the final track, Sleepyhead, which folks will recognize from that trippy CGI Sony PSP commercial where the console flies through different Canadian neighbourhoods. It's by far the EP's catchiest moment, but Angelakos's Hot Chip-meets-MGMT sound also works on I've Got Your Number. His distinctive vocals backfire only on the too-cutesy Cuddle Fuddle.
