PEOPLE UNDER THE STAIRS OST (Om) Rating: NNNN Rating: NNNN
Los Angeles b-boys Double K and Tres One probably hate quirky experimental underground hiphop as much as commercial karaoke rap. Instead of bitching about it, they cracked a couple of 40s and drafted an open love letter to old-school hiphop, when rhymes were dope, crates were dug and ill beats hit with a boom-bap because they had to rock parties. OST is pure poetry in flow-motion and should serve as a litmus test for hiphop headz who know the score. You know, pop collars to this, wear ice to this, drink Kris to this, bump nice to this.
