The 80s revival continues, in this case a look back to Belgian new beat and dark electronic music in general. Most of the tracks on this mix are older, with a couple of exceptions, and the majority are quite obscure. The mixing is nothing special, but the sound is a delightful change from the electro revivalism that’s been shoved down our throats over the past year. Much of it has the feel of the funkier side of industrial music crossed with Kraftwerk and early new wave. Not for everybody, but definitely an interesting throwback to a sound that very nearly crossed over the first time around.
