Is this your dad’s band? It’s the kind that plays in the basement between workweek fatigue and Saturday-morning cartoons. There’s nothing wrong with music that doesn’t have lyrics – but it often becomes background noise.
The first song is basically a five-minute guitar solo with lots of fun, rocky hooks and rhythms that prove the guys can play. But some of Kevin Breit’s other songs can sound like spy movie soundtrack tunes, especially when the tenor sax bounces off the jazzy keyboard warblings. I would recommend this disc to that dude hanging out in the guitar section of the music store waiting for a chance to show off his wicked skills.
