Sum 41

Rating: NN

What the fuck? I thought Sum 41 were internationally approved rock stars who drive Hummers made of the currency of the many countries that buy their albums, so why are they getting funding from FACTOR? Call the police! Chuck continues to flirt with the speed metal sound that seems to thrill the dudes in the band, and they sometimes conjure up decent noises out of the metallic bits. The remainder of the album is requisite speedy extreme bop music. They’ve also got more mournful, slower tunes that are dirgey in a way that isn’t heavy enough to make me care, and which often sound a lot like unibrowed nu metal. That said, Sum 41 haven’t strayed from their signature sound.
