Sven Vath’s Cocoon parties in Ibiza are known the world over as some of the most intense regular techno nights in the world, and for the past four years he’s been immortalizing them with an annual mix CD. This year, it’s actually two mix CDs, one called Mon, the other Day (Monday being the day the party takes place). Disc one is scary techno madness exploring the industrial and electro influences that have been creeping into his sound. Disc two is much softer and mellower, although still on the weird side. Very useful, as you have one to listen to as you prepare to go out, and the other for when you get home the next morning (or afternoon if you party like Vath does).
