The most infuriating part of this debut joint by Vaughan, Ontario’s Syntifik is the thug confidence with which he spits the most generic of lines. By his tone, he actually seems to believe he owns the words and ideas on this album, the most played-out, character-stripped gangsta sentiments this side of Markham. With the voice of a third-rate Shyne, he espouses lowest-common-denominator thoughts such as, “I seen a lot of things / been to many places / spent a lot of crazy nights being plenty wasted… ,” over dull imitation Kanye production. One of the most unimaginative albums I’ve ever heard.
