Left to their own demented devices, the Cramps come up with a gleefully ghoulish take on exotica for Fiends Of Dope Island, released on their Vengeance label. Along with the usual drugs-and-demons foolery, Lux and Ivy dabble in a bit of tiki lounge hocus pocus, even tossing in a Cramped-up cover of Taboo for good measure, although they never stray too far from their patented psychobilly bump ‘n’ grind. With songs like Dopefiend Boogie and Elvis Fucking Christ!, the Cramps show no signs of easing into a quiet retirement.
