The CREEPING NOBODIES/ANAGRAM

Rating: NNNN

While few people were watching, the Creeping Nobodies and Anagram have simultaneously developed into two of the most exciting guitar-strapped attack units in the city. Evidence of their raging superiority comes in the form of a convenient split 12-inch EP with a sweetly screened black-on-black folder sleeve containing two sonic knockouts from each group that should end any debate about whether they’ve advanced beyond their 80s New York scene inspirations. They’re confidently moving into more experimental territory with no loss of confrontational aggression, and getting tighter with every show.

Creeping Nobodies and Anagram open for Fucked Up at the El Mocambo Sunday (October 29).
