You have to question the motives of Bad Boy’s daddy Diddy in collecting subpar leftover Biggie Smalls vocal tracks, posthumously mixing them into “duets” with himself and various music celebs both living and dead, and releasing them just before Christmas. It doesn’t seem like the artistic quality of the project was the prime concern here. We get Biggie mostly rhyming thuggish about dealing dope, chasing pussy and getting his dick licked, with the tracks fleshed out by the voices of Eminem, Fat Joe, Bob Marley, Jay-Z, Snoop Dogg, Julez Santana, the Clipse, Ludacris, Twista, Big Pun, Nas, T.I., Missy Elliott, KoRn, Mobb Deep, 2Pac, Nelly, Faith Evans, R. Kelly, Scarface and others. It’s not as bad as it could’ve been, however, the beats are tight and there are some songs that will add to the Biggie legend like the chilling death wish Hold Ya Head but they’re far too few. Comes with an ad flyer for Sean John’s new luxury sneaker line.
