The Saint

Rating: NNNN

This 13-track entry from multiple crate owner the Saint lives up to its name, with relaxed, vibrant beats and a soulful hip-house atmosphere. Mr Man of the Bush Babees puts in a great jump-off appearance to keep things sprightly, and Grap Luva of Pete Rock affiliates I&I contributes a sweet verse later in the disc. This is the kind of music that will initially put you into a deep funk and then lift you out of it – ironically, via a different sort of deep funk. Perfect for condos, lofts, mature student residences and even hovels.
