THE WHITE LIGHTS

THE WHITE LIGHTS (independent) Rating: NNNN Rating: NNNN

Rising from the fashion-retardant depths of Kitchener, five pissed-off rec-room roughnecks with nothing better to do than annoy the lederhosen lunks next door by turning up their amps past distortion level and trying to out-snarl Iggy deliver a primo punk rock ‘n’ roll platter worthy of worship. Don’t hold the chintzy cash-in-type name against them there’s a good chance that they know not of the White Stripes. And their self-released debut might not look that impressive, but it packs a wallop that from the first hit you know is gonna leave a mark.
