This split EP showcases a couple of majorly grinchy punk rock bands that, in typical punk fashion, use their songs as soapboxes to preach such sentiments as (to quote Misery) "Fuck war, fuck politics, fuck religion." There are crusty tunes by both bands, but Misery cover the slightly slower and more Motörhead-influenced end of the scale. Toxic Narcotic's songs have an immediacy and urgency that Misery's lack, along with distorted vocals and singalong choruses. Negative points for one song that invites skanking, though. Best listened to while barfing from your disgust at the world.
