Trouble Man

Rating: NNN

What a surprise! The solo debut of Global Communications geezer and one-time Jedi Knight Mark Pritchard turns out not to be the load of ambient techno twaddle and triphop tosser tweakery expected from your second-favourite Yeovil yahoo. He’s even thoughtfully left out his dull instrumental hiphop experiments. But Pritchard is still a dabbler at heart, and if you can stomach a little Euro-lounge contamination around the edges, there’s some very listenable faux bossa, Radio One jazz and snappy broken beat business that should go nicely with green apple martinis after a rough day on Bay Street.
