If nothing else, Vikter Duplaix is original. Whether he’s tackling Philly soul, deep house, broken beat or electro-funk, there’s something identifiable about his approach and sound. This collection of singles and remixes makes a good case for his vision. It’s refreshing to hear a producer who refuses to follow the expected rhythm templates and who seems genuinely concerned with pushing toward new forms.
