VIBE A small bar in the heart of the club district, Apothecary features DJs most nights, playing anything from drum ‘n’ bass to house to hiphop, depending on the day of the week. The vibe is more casual and down-to-earth than that of many neighbouring clubs — you’re unlikely to encounter a dress code, bottle service or a velvet rope at the door.
OUTDOOR ACTION While the inside bar is fairly small, two patios make up for that — one on the roof and one in the back, both of which offer a great view of club-district craziness. There are bars on both patios, and a kitchen on the main floor serves standard bar food.
LINEUP You’ll rarely encounter a lineup at the door, and even if you do, it’s unlikely you’ll have to wait long.
BATHROOMS Though the club’s been a fixture in the area for some time, it looks like the bathrooms haven’t been updated since it originally opened. They were pretty grimy on our most recent visit.
