With over 250 performances and 150 acts, the Distillery Jazz Fest is so mammoth it’s hard to sort out your listening choices. Here are a few suggestions.

The Shuffle Demons at the Grand Stage (tented outdoor stage, Distillery Lane), Thursday (May 20), 6:30 pm. Free.

Twenty years after their greatest hits and seven years after the Spadina bus disappeared forever, the Shuffle Demons take the stage again.

The Boulevards of Paris at the Cabaret (Stone Distillery Building, Distillery Lane), Wednesday (May 26), 8 pm.

Eight acts take on the boulevardier aesthetic in an homage to the music of Paris 1900 to 1960. Among the performers, Degrassi alum Nicole Stoffman and her trio – Stephanie Kay, chansonnier!

The Decadent Berlin Review at the Cabaret (Stone Distillery Building, Distillery Lane), Thursday (May 27), 8 and 10 pm.

Festival director Larry Rossignol produces this sardonically randy restaging of the lost cabaret of pre-Nazi Germany.
