In his Pop Music Masterclass YouTube videos, Chilly Gonzales breaks down the chord progressions behind current pop songs like Shake It Off, Bed Of Lies and Tuesday.
This spring, more than 500,000 music students across North America will study his music when Canada’s Royal Conservatory of Music publishes a lesson book that adds the Toronto-raised pianist’s Carnivalse (from his 2004 album, Solo Piano) to the repertoire alongside Beethoven’s Für Elise and other classics.
Gonzales published his own piano lesson book, Re-Introduction Etudes, last year.
