CONCEPT The first floor is primarily a restaurant, with a small patio in front. Walk to the back of the room and you can look down on the basement dance floor featuring jazzy funky beats spun by DJs each night.
VIBE Relaxed, but not quite a lounge, as people do dance once it fills up. The crowd is a mix of College residents, bar-hoppers and music lovers. Not too chi-chi, but not grungy either. Good place for a long date or for meeting a mixed group of friends. Lots of candles and dim lighting people tend to look better than in real life.
VALUE No cover and no mandatory coat check, so it’s fairly affordable. Drinks aren’t dirt cheap, but there’s a good selection and service is pretty quick.
BATHROOMS Small but clean. Nothing fancy. The cramped hallway leading to the washrooms isn’t the most comfortable place to wait your turn.
