Rivoli Pool Hall
332 Queen West (upstairs) 416-596-1908CONCEPT The pool hall has evolved into more of a lounge, with music provided by DJs and the occasional karaoke night. There’s enough room to dance, but most people use it more as a social, pre-party spot. Many also come just for the pool tables. Lots of booths to chill in, and a modern but warm design.
VIBE Pretty chill, quiet enough to talk but busy enough not to feel like everyone’s listening. Musically it’s a bit all over the place: sometimes deep and jazzy, sometimes more hiphop-oriented, sometimes just eclectic.
VALUE There’s no cover most of the time, and drinks are reasonably priced (not the cheapest in Toronto by far, but low for the area). Similar value to other lounges with DJs, but on the cheaper end of that spectrum.
BATHROOMS Nothing to complain about here, but nothing too special either. Functional and clean.
