VIBE Who would have thought the micro-club model would come to dominate the DJ world? The lounge has almost completely overtaken the mega-club. Musically, you can hear pretty much anything at Nasa as long as it’s underground: hiphop, deep house, drum ‘n’ bass, 2-step, dub and more, depending on the night.
FEATURES Decor includes 80s technology and memorabilia, and the TV screens feature vintage sci-fi flicks.
VALUE Pretty affordable – no cover charge and reasonable drink prices (domestic beer $4.50, mixed drinks $4.75). No mandatory coat check, but there’s an optional one in the winter.
LINEUP If you see a lineup the club is probably at capacity. No cover means that people get in pretty quickly, and the club’s so small that security doesn’t bother searching everyone.
BATHROOMS Small, like the bar. Reasonably clean but hardly high-end. No washroom attendant.
