VIBE A favourite hangout for students who don’t want to hear house or hiphop when they go out, it looks a bit rundown, but nobody who goes there cares. The music is mostly alterna-rock and related genres. It’s pretty busy on weekends with excitable college kids, and there’s a bit of a pickup vibe, but what do you expect when you mix students and beer?
VALUE Cheap. The cover is $6 on weekends, but otherwise free. Draft beer is inexpensive ($10 pitchers). There’s a coat check, but you don’t have to use it.
LINEUP It gets full pretty early, so expect a lineup if you arrive late on a weekend. The queue seems to be mainly for the coat check, which it shares with Lee’s Palace. Luckily, it’s not the kind of place where everyone pretends to be on a guest list, so it moves relatively quickly.
BATHROOMS Like the rest of the club, not particularly clean or well maintained but for the most part functional.
