VIBE This brand new venue just west of Dufferin on Queen hosts DJ nights and live acts in the large rear section. In the front area, a restaurant with a focus on low-cost, high-quality food will be opening. You can hear urban on Fridays and house on Saturdays, but watch for new nights launching soon.
PAST LIVES Formerly the short-lived B-Sweet, and before that After Dark. Each incarnation has been a little fancier than the last, but the basic layout remains the same.
SOUND & LIGHTS Fairly modest, but the owners will soon install various projectors and hopefully upgrade the functional but unimpressive sound system.
VALUE The owners are promising cheap food when the kitchen opens, and if drink prices are any indication, they’re telling the truth. An imported beer is only $5, which would have been a bargain in this area even before it was gentrified.
