Eagles of Death Metal flying in for a secret show

Rumour has it that the Eagles Of Death Metal will be playing a couple stripped down intimate shows tonight (Friday) and Saturday.

They’re performing at a venue off Queen St. W. called Cherry Cola’s Rock N’ Rolla Cabaret and Lounge (200 Bathurst). This will be the bar’s grand opening, which is quite the entrance into the Queen W. party scene.

The band is slated for midnight, apparently.

Considering that the place can only hold a little over a hundred people, plan to get there as early as possible if you want to get in. But do note that the group will be playing their stripped down two-man lineup, without Josh Homme.

On the band’s MySpace, there’s a blog post threatening one-off shows during spring, so this could be one of those.

We didn’t believe it at first either, but it’s looking very credible that this is not a hoax. [rssbreak]
