When we asked Toronto’s Jazz Cartier of Get Home Safe to help us with a holly jolly playlist, he said he got “carried away.” We weren’t surprised. Our November interview revealed a side we generally don’t see in up-and-coming emcees: the festive one.
Said Jazz of the most wonderful time of the year: “Christmas is my favourite holiday. I actually like the music – it melts my heart, it’s crazy. Ask anyone in the house. Last year all I would play is Christmas tunes. As soon as Halloween’s over, it’s Christmas time.”
We couldn’t agree more.
