Beloved Canadian clickbait Justin Bieber is returning to Toronto to cap off a six-date stadium tour late next summer.
The last time the Biebs performed here was an impromptu solo piano session for the randoms who happened to be hanging at the Fifth Pubhouse on the evening of November 7.
Before that, the 22-year-old Thought Of You and Company singer brought his elevated trampoline, wet T-shirt waterfall and signature insouciance to the Air Canada Centre in March as part of his Purpose world tour.
If you missed both those shows, he’s added the above-mentioned quickie stadium jaunt that ends with a September 5 stop at Rogers Centre – his first gig there since his Believe tour in 2012.
As usual, the banned-in-Argentina star has been generating controversy since he hit the road earlier this year. After he cancelled fan meet-and-greets due to exhaustion and depression, rumours swirled that the tour would not last, but he has persevered – and so have the screamy fans and paparazzi.
Recently, Bieber made headlines for punching an overexcited fan in the face from a moving vehicle in Barcelona, getting the words “Son of God” tattooed across his washboard abs and deleting his Instagram account and declaring the photo-sharing app the spawn of Satan.
