Move over, Started From The Bottom. B & Steve just dropped Home Run Anthem, a novelty hip-hop homage to the Toronto Blue Jays’ winning streak.
Written by Brendan Richmond (BRich), Eli Abrams (Steve) and Michael Freeland (Mickey Free), the song was well timed. The video came out September 30, the same day the Jays beat the Baltimore Orioles 15-2 to claim the AL East title for the first time in 22 years.
It features ex-Blue Jay Kelly Gruber and the Kingston, Ontario, natives driving through the 6ix in a pickup truck. It has more than 85,000 views – somewhat fewer than the duo’s previous viral video hit, Out For A Rip, which racked up 8.5 million views in 2013.
