Who? Chad Ross (vocals, guitar, piano, harmonica, lap steel) and (not shown) Julie Penner (violin) and Paul Vernon (drums).
WHERE? Friday (June 6) at Ted's Wrecking Yard and July 12 at the Cameron House.
key fast facts? Chad Ross has a split musical personality. In more aggro moments, he plays guitar with Toronto punk band Hacksaw. On his own, he strums out country songs with titles like We Did All Of Our Drugs, The Lone Star Hate and She Makes It Full And I Make It Empty. The note of thanks to George Jones on Ross's raw, self-titled album really says it all. It's cool to be able to have the best of both worlds, Ross explains. I've been listening to country music forever, so it actually feels pretty natural now, and no, one doesn't bleed into the other.
