Who? Jonathan Seet (left, guitar and vocals), Rob Greenway (drums and percussion) and (not shown) Dennis Mohammed (bass).
WHERE? Friday (May 11) at C'est What.
SOUND? In Seet's humble opinion, It's intelligent, melodic, with infectious, well-crafted songs. Also melancholic, moody and atmospheric. I want to write stuff that resonates with a certain sentiment that's prevalent in our society. Obviously not a barrel of yucks.
key fast facts? The relentlessly self-promoting Seet has been kicking around the local scene for a few years. Dossier items include a stint in the band Jargon with a a couple of immigrants from England and a guy on guitar who now plays with zoebliss.
IF YOURE INTO: Downcast pop/rock with as much emphasis on words as music. Comparisons have been made to Radiohead and Jeff Buckley, Seet says, but I think Neil Finn is closer to the mark.
