Though the 22-year-old is really named Li Lykke Timotej Zachrisson, fans fell in love with her as Lykke Li, the girl with the shy guise, eclectic style, and fluttery voice.

Li is playing a sold out show in Toronto tonight (Friday) at the Mod Club, with more sold out shows following in Chicago, Vancouver and L.A., though she first garnered attention from fellow Swedes with her album reaching # 3 on Swedish music charts earlier this year.
Her first album, Youth Novels, is a collection of 14 songs produced by Bjorn Yttling, including her hits “Little Bit” and “I’m Good, I’m Gone”.
Her aesthetic mixes hard and soft (think silk floral dresses with military boots). Her sound follows suite, mixing her honey sweet voice with a rusty old megaphone, for instance.
For fans who will be screaming her name tonight, Rolling Stone described her name phonetically as “Lick-ee Lee”, but you might as well hear it from a Swede.
