Middle Path Prints launches limited Gay Goth Scene print

Screen printing studio Middle Path Prints is launching its first published edition with The Hidden Cameras main man Joel Gibb.

The 12 x 16 limited edition print is taken from Gibb and artist Paul P’s Gay Goth Scene zine, which the pair authored under the noms de plume Raven and Bones.

The print as well as a limited number of copies of the current Gay Goth Scene will be available at the studio’s one-year anniversary party on July 14. The event takes place from 6 pm to 9 pm at 15 Case Goods Lane, Studio #401. The print is also available online.

Gibb and Paul P originally and anonymously made two editions of the queer zine in the early 00s while working at a photocopy store in Toronto’s financial district. They revived the project in 2014 and released a third issue at New York’s Printed Matter in 2014.

The Hidden Cameras are co-headlining Massey Hall with Peaches on August 4. (See listing for details.) The Toronto indie-pop band’s most recent album, Age, came out in 2014. The lead single was also called Gay Goth Scene. Gibb is releasing a new album this year called Home On Native Land.
