Let’s be honest – when people ask this, they’re usually referring to illegal parties where they can drink overpriced booze after 2 am. There are, however, a handful of legal late-night spots left if you don’t mind drinking overpriced water instead.

FOOTWORK (425 Adelaide West, 416-913-3488) While it rarely stays open till sunrise, you will find the dance floor pumping long after most bars have locked their doors for the night.

COMFORT ZONE (480 Spadina, 416-975-0909) Their long-running Sunday-morning-till-Monday-morning party is legendary, although this spot is not for the faint-hearted or squeamish.

FLY (8 Gloucester St., 416-925-6222) The gay ghetto isn’t nearly as party-friendly as it once was, but Fly keeps the late-night circuit-party vibe alive for the shirtless and buff.

FILM LOUNGE (393 Dundas West, 416-591-4758) Picture the Comfort Zone crowd before sunrise, make them adhere to a dress code and you’ll have a good idea of what to expect.

GUVERNMENT (132 Queens Quay East, 416-869-0045) It’s one of the few remaining mega-clubs in the world, and the Guv’s main room is packed until dawn most Saturdays.
