North by Northeast announced today that its headliner for the prime-time Saturday night slot at Yonge-Dundas square will be local punk-rockers Billy Talent. The Mississauga-formed four-piece have been honing their sound for two decades, achieving worldwide success and selling out stadiums in Europe, Australia and, of course, here at home. They played a packed Air Canada Centre on April 5th.
The multiple Juno and MMVA Award winners will cap off a free Saturday lineup that also includes Millencolin, Big Black Delta, Moon King, Blinker The Star, We Are Scientists, Steve Hill and The Burning Boyz.
NXNE also confirmed that Halifax rockers Sloan will play the Great Hall on June 14th, and Lemonheads lead singer Evan Dando will perform June 15th at the Rivoli.
