A Place To Bury Strangers Like loud guitars? Brooklyn’s A Place To Bury Strangers are easily one of the loudest bands at the fest this year, and play the El Mocambo main floor tonight at 1 am. See listing.

The Men There was huge buzz around this Brooklyn four-piece at SXSW this year, which has followed them up north to NXNE. They play their first of three festival gigs tonight at the Garrison at 1 am. See listing.

Bleached This California beach punk duo are playing a shit load of gigs over the next few days, and the first one is tonight at the Silver Dollar at midnight. See listing.

Grass Widow Check out the bouncy indie pop of San Francisco’s Grass Widow tonight at the Garrison at 11 pm. See listing.

The Hundred In the Hands This dreamy shoegazer-influenced electronic pop duo plays Wrongbar tonight at midnight. See listing.

Purity Ring Their debut album isn’t out yet, but there’s already huge hype about this Montreal/Halifax electro pop duo. They play Wrongbar tonight at 1 am. See listing.

Yonge-Dundas Square The skater punks will be out in force tonight at Yonge-Dundas square for the free outdoor moshpit party of Bad Religion,Good Riddance, No Use For A Name, Slaves On Dope, and Trouble Andrew.

BADBADNOTGOOD As far as last minute additions go, getting Toronto hip-hop/jazz band BADBADNOTGOOD playing NXNE is a pretty good one. They play two sets at the Hoxton tonight, at 11 pm and 1 am.

Mama Rosin Ever wonder what Cajun music sounds like when played by the Swiss? Mama Rosin plays their first of two festival gigs tonight at the NOW Lounge at 10 pm. See listing.

Mac DeMarco We’ve lost count of how many official and unofficial gigs Mac DeMarco is playing this weekend, but he’s rocking out again tonight at the Garrison at 10 pm. See listing.
