Amazingly enough, 21 years after Redd Kross released their Neurotica album, the lineup that recorded that psych-?pop cult classic – Jeff and Steven McDonald flanked by guitarist Robert Hecker and former Things drummer Roy McDonald – has reunited and will be returning to preview the first new Redd Kross album in over a decade.
Interestingly enough, the last time Hecker performed with Redd Kross in Toronto was also at Lee’s Palace back in 1989, which he should recall, since he had his foot crunched by the group’s own tour van after the show as then drummer Victor Indrizzo watched in horror, shrieking, “Oh my dear God, w-?h-?h-?h-?h-?h-?h-?h-?h-?h-?y?” Hecker was rushed to the hospital and made a full recovery. He now teaches sixth-?grade physical education when not rocking out with Redd Kross.
