VIBE This two-room bar at the eastern edge of the College strip has a varied booking policy. On any given night you might hear live punk bands, stand-up comedy, lesbian dance parties and more. The kitchen serves a soul food version of tapas.
PAST LIFE Until this spring, this spot was known as Oasis, and retains much of its humble eclectic charm. It does feel brighter and cleaner since the renovation and change of owners.
BATHROOMS Somewhat grungy, but at least everything was working during our visit.
VALUE A bottle of domestic beer runs you $4.50, and there may be drink specials depending on the night. If there’s a cover charge, it’s usually only for the back room.
