VIBE A mid-size basement club and lounge that’s been a fixture on the College strip for around seven years. Tunes are standard mainstream fare (R&B, hiphop, pop, retro), and DJs spin Thursday through Saturday. The crowd is mainstream but ethnically diverse.
VALUE Drinks are overpriced – I paid $6 for a Moosehead – but not the most expensive in the area. There is a small cover charge on the weekends, but not if you get there before 10 pm.
DANCING OR LOUNGING Most of the floor space is devoted to the various bars and seating, but there is a decent dance floor off to one side that gets pretty full as the night goes on. The layout keeps it separated from most of the foot traffic.
DOOR POLICY Officially, you’re supposed to be over 23 to get in, but if you dress nicely and behave yourself, you could probably bluff your way in. There is a dress code, so no sportswear, ripped or baggy jeans, tank tops, running shoes or baseball hats.
