A surprise announcement: Jack White’s new garage rock super-group the Dead Weather will be playing this Saturday (June 13) at the Horseshoe (370 Queen West).
The group also features Alison Mosshart of the Kills, Dean Fertita of Queens Of The Stone Age and Jack Lawrence of the Raconteurs and Greenhornes.
The album is yet to be released (coming July 14), and there haven’t been many live shows, but early reports are promising. Besides, you’re not going to get many chances to hear these guys in such a small venue, so if you make it you’ll be able to impress your indie snob friends for years with your “I saw them first” story.
Tickets are $25, but don’t bother trying to call ticketmaster, as you can only get them at the Horseshoe, and none will be available until 1 pm Saturday June 13.[rssbreak]
