What Toronto restaurant do you like to eat at before a show?

don’t eat before a show, but my restaurants of choice are Le Paradis on Bedford and Rosedale Diner on Yonge.

Where do you go after the gig?

I’m too old to party after a gig, so I don’t know the club scene.

Who’s your favourite emerging Toronto artist?

Dawn Langstroth and Dave Celia are both really good — Dawn because she has an amazing voice and Dave because he’s unique both as a writer and as a picker.

What do you love most about Toronto?

I think Toronto is the most civilized, livable big city in North America.

What do you hate about the city?

Lack of affordable parking and rush-hour traffic jams.

Hotel of choice and why?

The hotel I recommend to friends is the King Edward. I prefer the older, more elegant hotels, ones where you can open a window.

How do you spend your day off?

Staying home is my favourite thing.

What was the wildest time you ever had in Toronto?

Performing at the Summer Of Love concert in Yorkville during the Luminato Festival this summer was pretty wild — everyone resurrecting their 60s gear. Déja vu all over again.
