VIBE A small, two-floor club just west of Spadina. The upper level, dominated by a long bar, functions as a lounge, while the basement is darker and more clublike. The place is new and still settling into its vibe, but for the moment it features soulful house and old school on the weekends and will soon host a more electro-oriented night on Wednesdays.
PAST LIVES Formerly Una Mas. Not too much has changed: the biggest difference is that the booths have been removed on the top level, which widens the space and makes it friendlier for dancing. The new owners also run Touch Lounge around the corner.
SOUND & LIGHTS As when it was Una Mas, there’s not much club lighting going on and the sound system isn’t anything to write home about. The system in the basement is much beefier, but they only open up that room once the main floor is full.
BATHROOMS They work, they’re reasonably clean and there are enough of them, but boys still have to walk downstairs to get to theirs.
