Terence Kissner

WHERE

He’ll be spinning in the SKYY Cinema Lounge at Circa (126 John), Friday (August 8) as part of Mike Shannon’s record release party. He’s also organizing the North American tour for UK producer Glimpse, which will see a Toronto date in the fall. And he’ll play as part of the Platform Halloween party at the Opera House (735 Queen East) October 31.

WHAT

“My style could be considered minimal house and techno, but I play anything deep, dark and dirty with a seriously sexy funk.”

WEIRDEST MOMENT

“I was playing a show at Module, in Tokyo, with J Hunsberger. As I approached the bar, I heard shouting in Japanese from a circle of people standing in front of it. Initially I thought it might be a fight, but lo and behold, there was a naked man on the floor. He had duct tape binding his hands and feet and covering his genitals. Some of the women in the group proceeded to pour hot candle wax on him, while others slapped him and kicked him with their high-heeled shoes, in the most uncomfortable place for a man. Though he was writhing on the floor in what seemed to be pain, he apparently enjoyed it. At one point I tried to save him, but that only incited the women to rip the duct tape off and slap him even more.”
