VIBE A hip new bar that just opened next to the Drake. The feel is kind of like a very slick-looking pub: dark, rich colours, lots of mahogany and a bit of art deco flair. There aren’t many regular DJ nights right now, but expect an eclectic, indie-friendly mix of music. The crowd is a meld of people who don’t want to line up for the Drake and local hipsters who’ve claimed it as their hangout.

VALUE There’s no cover, but it’s not the cheapest place in the area to buy a beer. No mandatory coat check or washroom attendant to tip, though.

BATHROOMS The washrooms downstairs are all individual rooms and look almost as good as the handsome bar. Clean and functional, they’ve got enough stalls that you shouldn’t have to wait long.

LINEUP Since there’s no cover, the only time you’ll see a queue is if they’re over capacity.
