This St. John’s fourpiece pulled their van into Toronto hours before hitting the stage and you could tell there was plenty of pent-up energy ready to be released.
Singer/guitarist Kirk Penney bounced around the stage as his adrenalin took over, belting out high-pitched melodies over Rebecca Cohoe’s synth and Darre Browne’s steady bass lines.
Unfortunately, abundant energy couldn’t distract from the music’s lack of variation and they only seemed to get the crowd into it when Penney did his best Great Big Sea impressions.
